About Chris

I grew up in a small town in the Midwest and attended Indiana University– before I quit and began a wild adventure. After being a cast member on MTV’s Road Rules and working in several industries, I discovered my passion for entrepreneurship and early-stage startup investing.

I believe in building strong, genuine relationships and giving back to others. One of my life focuses is to “out-serve” everyone I come in contact with. As leaders, if we position ourselves with a servant’s heart, only good things can come from it.

I’m blessed to be married to my bride Jenni for almost 20 years & we have 5 amazing kids!

Entrepreneur

I am passionate about entrepreneurship! Starting my first business a few years ago where I dove into e-commerce- I caught the bug for all things entrepreneurship. Since those early days, I have founded multiple companies, and I’m always excited to meet other entrepreneurs who step out to start their own businesses!

Angel Investor

I’ve evaluated thousands of startup deals, invested alongside a couple of personal heroes– Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary, and have been a part of some of the most successful raises in Equity Crowdfunding history.

Currently, I’ve invested in 20+ startups, valued at $700M combined. I’m passionate about helping everyday investors understand the power of equity crowdfunding.

I serve early startup investors in two ways –– Through The Crwd YouTube Channel and Weekly Newsletter and through a tight nit community of investors who get to see the startups I’m investing in and decide if they want to invest alongside me called, Deal Hunters Alliance.

Podcaster / Author

Alongside my wife, Jenni, I’ve written a best-selling book and produced a weekly relationship podcast called, The Rhythm of Us. We dive into the joys and challenges of marriage. Our ultimate desire is to encourage and celebrate marriage- providing hope for those who are desiring a thriving marriage.

Speaker

I’m an experienced speaker and presenter, having given talks at various startup events, colleges & conferences across the country, sharing my personal experience, as well as advice on life, business, and the power of startup investing.
